POL-11.6 — Personal data collected via contact enquiries is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, and in any event for no longer than 12 months, after which it is securely deleted.

POL-11.7 — Your personal data is processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where any third-party service provider processes data outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with Chapter V of the GDPR.

POL-11.8 — Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data we hold about you. Complaints

POL-11.9 — If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA) at www.dpa.gr.

POL-12 — GDPR

POL-12.1 — Syros Jiu-Jitsu operates in full compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Greek national data protection legislation (Law 4624/2019). The supervisory authority in Greece is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).

Your Rights Under GDPR

POL-12.2 — As a data subject you have the following rights, all of which you may exercise free of charge:

POL-12.3 — Right of access (Article 15) — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, along with information about how it is processed.

POL-12.4 — Right to rectification (Article 16) — You may ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data without undue delay.

POL-12.5 — Right to erasure (Article 17) — You may ask us to delete your personal data where there is no legitimate reason for us to continue processing it, where you have withdrawn consent, or where the data has been unlawfully processed.

POL-12.6 — Right to restrict processing (Article 18) — You may ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances, for example whilst the accuracy of data is being contested.

POL-12.7 — Right to data portability (Article 20) — Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you may request that your data be provided to you in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

POL-12.8 — Right to object (Article 21) — You may object to our processing of your personal data where it is based on legitimate interest. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

POL-12.9 — Right to withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

How to Exercise Your Rights

POL-12.10 — To exercise any of the above rights, please contact us via our Contact page. We will respond within 30 days. In complex cases this period may be extended by a further two months, in which case we will inform you of the reason for the delay.

Complaints

POL-12.11 — If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA) at www.dpa.gr, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
